For this could be featurebox used too... I think that e_featurebox was planned exactly for this, but nobody (maybe} knows how to use it.
But featurebox should be style this way and only then used it in plugin

I have already problem with your hardcoded css inside plugin, this is owl script, it should be part of theme, not plugin.
Too much for discussion.

This is pretty much completed, except for the slider and the tags menu. I have added a latest menu and a categories menu.

• There is no e_featurebox implemented in core yet that allows for such a slider. Will check with Cameron to see if there are any plans.
• I'll check if there's a core routine to hook into for the tags, but I don't think so.

There is no core routine for tags, so for now I decided to code my own popular tags/keywords menu.

See latest changes and let me know how it works.
