I am an enthusiastic seismologist who is fascinated by wave mechanics and the simulation of its propagation :)
- β₯’β¬ This is the most recent photo with my great PhD supervisor, Alan Levander, from Rice University. This photo was taken during my last visit to Alan. If you are interested in seismology and seismic imaging, would like to do your PhD at a great school, and are especially looking for a great, kind, intelligent supervisor, this is simply the non-repeatable Alan Levander
- π‘I filed (April 2024) for a patent on a new method and apparatus for performing imaging using interferometry. Stay tuned for updates soon.
- π I am interested in computational imaging. Besides being a fan of the geophysical inverse problems, I employ seismic wave observations to apply a variety of techniques such as tomography, receiver function imaging, moment tensor inversion, relocation analysis, and shear wave splitting methods.
- γ°οΈ I am curious about various imaging techniques. I am always looking for ways to improve the ability of electromagnetic or elastic waves to reveal the structure and surface of any medium.
- π« I was fortunate to work on uncertainty quantification of seismic imaging using informed proposal of Markov chain Monte Carlo. I learned a lot about that and many other things from my gigantic advisor and collaborator Klaus Mosegaard (Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen).
- π± I am learning a lot of new good stuff especially in the HPC world.
- π₯ Movie courtesy of Michael Afanasiev, ( GitHub @michael-afanasiev ). I modified the resolution to fit the upload limit.
- π€ I am interested in hearing from prospective collaborators whose research interests overlap with mine. If you have interests that are similar to mine, please drop me a line.
- π¬ Ask me about seismic imaging techniques.
