The path of the unsupported file wrongly remains displayed in the Awesomebar #3248

[Affected Versions]:

  • Firefox Reality version 10 RC2 (17a313b).

[Affected Platforms]:

  • HTC Vive Plus - Android 7.1.2
  • Pico Neo 2 - Android - 8.1.0
  • Oculus Quest - Android 7.1.1

[Prerequisites]:

  • The headset is turned on and the app is opened.
  • Have an unsupported file downloaded ex: .zip

[Steps to reproduce]:

  1. Click the Downloads button from the tray.
  2. Open the unsupported file from prerequisites.
  3. Dismiss the prompt displayed.
  4. Observe the Awesomebar.

[Expected results]:

  • The path of the file is not displayed.

[Actual results]:

  • The path of the file displayed.

I have verified this issue and it's no longer reproducible with the Firefox Reality version 10 RC3 (5b346b6). The URL of the unsupported file is no longer displayed in the Awesomebar.
However, now the ETP shield icon is displayed following the same steps from this issue. I logged issue #3281 for tracking purpose.

Tested on HTC Vive Focus (Android 7.1.2), Oculus Quest (Android 7.1.1), and Pico Neo 2 (Android - 8.1.0) devices.
