- Websockets
- Database
This backend opens websockets to bitstamp.com in order to listen on current trades for the 5 cryptocurrencies that can be traded there: BTC, BCH, ETH, LTC and XRP.
Everytime a trade was made, the course of that transaction data will be stored to a database.
MongoDB Atlas is used for this project. The Database keeps track of historical data (as far as it did take note of those prices aka was "online" at this moment in time).
-> For development you can just use a local docker-image with preinstalled mongodb. Make sure it listens on port 27017!
To use this project with docker, simply do something like:
docker build -t crypto-cource-crawler:0.1 .
docker run crypto-cource-crawler:0.1
To use a local mongo-db with docker, just pull the latest version of MongoDB:
docker pull mongo
And run it with:
docker run -p 27017:27017 --name crypto-courses-mongo -d mongo:latest
Tipp: You can always check if its running by using Docker Desktop!
