MudDataGrid - dynamic Datatable

Hello community,

I'm looking for a way to show the content of a datatable in a MudTable.
The table will be generated out of a database and I don't know the headers or value beforehand.
Any Idea how to do it?

It seems that MudDataGrid is designed for this. But how to link a datatable to it?

I tried this code, but getting an Error : value cannot be null. (parameter 'property')

Hi @ollih1980, please note that MudDataGrid is considered "Experimental" as of now.
It is currently under development and any new version might still include breaking changes.
The required functionality to apply a DataTable to the Grid is currently under development (See MudDataGrid Phase-3 DataTables / Dictionary)
Please note that there is no ETA yet on when this feature will be available in an official release.

For both, MudTable and MudDataGrid, you can define the ServerData func when data is fetched from an API.
For sure the structure of the data (i.e. which columns to be shown must be known already).

there is an alternative suggested in the cards from the current development phase 3 which is to convert the datatable to a dictionary, but the issue lies with the fact that the Fieldtype needs to be mentioned.
As an alternative we tried ExpandoObject as well, but the Column tag doesnt seem to parse it properly and gets the exception,Value cannot be null for 'property'

im dropping the code behind here for the expandoObject please do suggest what I may have missed out here if any.

I know this is old but I was able to get dictionary to work for my project.
MudDataGrid is T="IDictionary<string, object>"
PropertyColumn Property="(GetPropertyLambdaExpression<IDictionary<string,object>,object>(string))"

The GetPropertyLambdaExpression implementation
