MudAvatars with Variant.Outlined look good in light mode:

But in dark mode the background color stays white:

Its not just in Dark theme i noticed it yesterday as well it have lost its transparent background it seems?

I don't think this is a bug. This is just how filled default avatars look:

If you want transparency just use Style="background-color:unset" on the avatar component.

Maybe a Variant.Text would make sense: An avatar without an outline and transparent background. Right now Variant.Text does nothing
