First public release of the Wail-Electron

Wail-Electron is feature complete to Wailpy and is entering public acceptance testing.
Please test it and provide feedback to push Wail-Electron towards final release.
As more feedback comes in we will be able to quickly add more features and improve existing ones.

Windows release

Since wail was previously an OSX only(mostly) application we felt that when we release for Windows it should be special. This release contains features not found in the main branch(Linux or OSX) versions:

  1. Context Menus available for mouse actions
  2. Redesigned Heritrix Crawl Config
  3. Screen shots of the application(png,jpg,pdf)

It must be noted that Wail on Windows is slightly less stable than its Linux/OSX counter parts due to the tools we allow usage of were built/designed to run on some Linux based OS primarily. This only means that extra love was put into the Windows versions and if there are issues we want to hear about them. For more information about this please read this blog post

If an error or a bug happens and you wish to inform the development team about it:

  1. Take a screen shot of the UI or of the development console(which can be opened through a menu option)
  2. Go to the folder listed below for your respective operating system and retrieve the files in wail-settings and wail-logs. Be sure to include these files along with your bug report
  • %APPDATA%\wail on Windows
  • Or submit an image of the main ui taken through wail(We will love you for it)
