Title: Distributing Data via Web Services

Summary: It seems that often times people are reluctant to share their data not because they are opposed to the idea of sharing, but rather are not familiar with the best methods to do so, or do not have the time or expertise. It would be interesting to discuss how we as a community can facilitate this sharing, especially in regard to maintaining/managing, distributing, and licensing of data.

I'd like to participate in this discussion, and I'd be interested to think about the role that libraries can and do play in lowering these particular barriers to data sharing.
