OpenStudio 3.4.0 EnergyPlus 22.1 Std 140 ver 2020 uses the same versions of EnergyPlus and OpenStudio as OpenStudio 3.4.0 EnergyPlus 22.1. The difference is that that the tests were updated to ASHRAE Standard 140 version 2020 from version 2014. This was most impactful to Envelope tests in section 5.2. This included changes in weather files, existing tests characteristics, updated reporting, new reporting, and new tests cases. Another change made to the structure of measures, was to move most files from resources directories fo measures to shared_resources at the top level of the repository. This simplifies maintenance by avoiding duplicate files that have to be synchronized.
As with other releases, The tests were run using the OpenStudio CLI and 'run_all_generate_reports.rb'. The script generates OSM's and IDF's, runs simulations, loads results into Excel files, generates and gathers zip files, and cleans up the run directory. Following OpenStudio the Ruby version used for testing is now Ruby 2.7. Results are on S3 bucket, and attached to the release to keep the repository size smaller, instead of including them within this repo.
