The CYME reader currently supports importing ascii files that are generated as an export from the CYME database. However, most CYME files are self contained studies (.sxst files). It would be great to also support these as input and output if possible.

We brought this issue up with CYME. They recommended using the Ascii files since this format was more stable from one version to the next. The way we've dealt with this in the way that you've detailed. We can put this on the list of items to consider, but won't be our primary focus for now.
