[FEA] Audit nested type support

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

CUDF has just finished rapidsai/cudf#11844 and should now fully support nested types everywhere. This is really great, but now we should go back through all of our plugin code and audit the code to make sure that we have nested types enabled everywhere. Any place where we don't have full nested type support enabled we should file follow on issues to enable it and add tests for it. Unless of course someone just wants to do ti all at once.

Thanks @revans2 for opening this issue. Do you think it would be appropriate to close rapidsai/cudf#11844, or are you expecting to find some significant gaps?

@GregoryKimball I am fine if you want to close rapidsai/cudf#11844. We have not even started on this as far as I can tell. SO who knows when it will actually be done.
