Hello everyone and congratulations to the development of NatiaScript, it is really a tool that interested me a lot and seems to me to still be the best alternative the options of the market.

You are about to complete a year of learning in the tool.

And this month I'm trying to deploy a HelloWorld type app on a Tectoy Tablet TT2725, but I get the error message below, I use a MacBook (2009) with 8MB RAM, a 500GB hd, MSOSX Sierra 10.12. 5. Node 7.10.0 was reinstalled with the NVM tool, I also tested with Node 6.11.0, NativeScript has just reinstalled version 3.0.3

When I use the tns device list command I get the output below:

estudio-1:HelloWorld4 carlosdelfino$ tns device run android

And when I use the tns device run command, I get this other output how can I use it to interpret these messages and what prevents it from testing my application on the Tablet?

estudio-1:HelloWorld4 carlosdelfino$ tns device list

Connected devices & emulators
Searching for devices...
┌───┬─────────────┬──────────┬───────────────────┬────────┬───────────┐

│ 1 │ rk3026 │ Android │ HNPKB2OEDS │ Device │ Connected │
└───┴─────────────┴──────────┴───────────────────┴────────┴───────────┘

The command takes a few hours to execute, in the best of hypotheses that I could not at this moment replicate, some excpetions besides the above messages that are truncated.

Thanks

@carlosdelfino the command tns device run expects appId and deviceId and not platform.
To see the command usage execute it with -h flag

tns device run -h
┌─────────┬──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐
│ Usage │ Synopsis │
│ General │ $ tns device run <Application ID> [--device <Device ID>] │
└─────────┴──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘

You can also use the command run with flag --device

First list all the devices (note there is not 'list' command)

tns devices

Connected devices & emulators
Searching for devices...
iTunes is not installed. Install it on your system and run this command again.
┌───┬──────────────────────┬──────────┬───────────────────┬──────────┬───────────┐
│ # │ Device Name │ Platform │ Device Identifier │ Type │ Status │
│ 1 │ sdk_google_phone_x86 │ Android │ emulator-5554 │ Emulator │ Connected │

and then

tns run android --device 1

Thank @NickIliev.

I leave the request to analyze a change in the behavior of this command when in this case, since I leave the programmer hours waiting for a clear message that points to an error, and this after more than 10 hours does not receive it thinking that it is defective in the equipment and In the installation.

: D

I ran several tests, and I recognize that I made a mistake, but I could have perceived such a failure with a more intuitive message from the tool.

Thank you for the prompt reply.

Now I am having success in sending the application to the physical tablet, but still appear from time to time messages like this below.

What Do They Mean? What should I do to avoid them?

Project successfully prepared (android)
Executing after-prepare hook from /Users/extracbd/workspace/MobileECG/mobileecg_mobile_client/hooks/after-prepare/nativescript-dev-android-snapshot.js

Hi @carlosdelfino can you please clean up your project, uninstall the app from your device and try again.

Cleanup:

rm -rf <YourApp>/platforms
rm -rf <YourApp>/node_modules
rm -rf <YourApp>/hooks

If you still encounter the issue, please add --log trace to command you run and post the logs.

First of all, I apologize for the delay.

The problem is intermittent, on that I put a timer to send a message in the console.

The problem happens under any circumstances, however I realize it when the tablet is in standby, although the application continues to run.

For ease of reading I used Gist to separate the collection files from the trace:
