Do you want to be able to summarize any PDF? Even by selecting exactly which pages you want? With this small script, you will be able to do it.
You only need to follow these steps:
- Create an .env file and add your OPENAI_API_KEY={}
- Set your Open AI Usage limits to a reasonable limit that you can afford, more info in FAQ
- poetry install
- poetry shell
- python summary/summarize.py
- Does this cost any money?
- Yes, it would depend on how long your PDF is and how many tokens you use.
- By default, this app uses the GPT-3.5 Turbo model. As of today (25-04-23), it costs 0.002 USD per 1k tokens.
