Boat measurements with Ninjabrain Bot

ExeRSolver and Sharpieman20 have been working on a new method of making more precise ender eye measurements, almost guaranteeing to hit the stronghold with one eye, which is now implemented in Ninjabrain Bot. By entering and exiting a boat the player's angle is reset to a predictable value. This allows the bot to infer more angle decimals than what is given by the F3+C command, when ender eye measurements are made. This feature relies on a macro that resizes the Minecraft window to a really tall resoultion, such as the EyeZoomMacro.

Settings

Before starting you need to configure your settings. Under Settings -> Optional features -> High precision, tick 'Tall resolution' and 'Enable boat measurements'. Type in the resolution the macro will resize your Minecraft window to, and input your sensitivity from the options.txt file.

If your options.txt sensitivity does not match what's in the Ninjabrain Bot settings, your measurements will become inaccurate. Some sensitivities work better than others for boat measurements, see the bottom of this page for optimal sensitivity settings that will make the measurements the most accurate.

Set the Indicate boat angle reset on next F3+C hotkey to whatever you prefer. Theres no optimal value for standard deviation for boat throws yet, but 0.001 works okay with resolution height 16384. Keep Allowable boat angle error at 0.03 unless you know what youre doing.

Resetting your angle with a boat

Entering a boat will reset your angle to a predictable value. By giving this angle to the bot (referred to as the boat angle, since it's your angle directly after entering the boat), it is able to deduce more decimals of your angle than what is give by the F3+C command. To feed the angle to the bot, you first need to press the Indicate boat angle reset on next F3+C hotkey, and then F3+C after entering a boat.

You will have a boat icon at the top of your Ninjabrain Bot.

This icon can have four different colors, each meaning:

boat_gray You have not yet reset your angle with a boat, and have not pressed the hotkey. Any F3+C inputted at this state will be treated as a normal ender eye throw, and use your normal STD.

boat_blue You have pressed the Indicate boat angle reset on next F3+C hotkey, your next F3+C will tell the bot what your boat angle is.

boat_red You have given your boat angle to the bot, but it is invalid, likely because you moved your mouse after entering the boat. Press the hotkey again to try and input the boat angle again.

boat_green You have given your boat angle to the bot, and it is valid. You are now ready to throw and measure ender eye(s).

Measuring eyes

Once you have a green boat icon you are ready to measure eyes as you normally would with tall resoultion. Note that when using tall resolution the hotkeys for subpixel adjustments instead correct once for each pixel you're off by (so if your crosshair is 4 pixels off to the left, you would press the + hotkey 4 times). You are required to correct the crosshair the correct amount of pixels for boat measurements to have any value, since otherwise the increased accuracy offered by boat measurements is wasted.

Better sensitivity values for boat measurements.

Boat measurements work better with certain sensitivity settings. First column in the table below is sensitivity, set your sensitivity in options.txt to any of these values to get more accurate boat measurements.

First column: sensitivity (this is what you should copy to your options file)
Second column: minimum angle increment
Third column: maximum angle before massive floating point rounding errors occur (bigger=better)
Fourth column: A measure of resistance to floating point rounding errors for angles less than the maximum in column 3 (bigger=better). Note that all sensitivities listed here are very resistant to floating point rounding errors for angles less than the maximum in column 3, so the fourth column should only be used as a tiebreaker when deciding which sensitivity to use.
