What license is NorthStateFramework released under?

NorthStateFramework is released under a dual license.

  • an open source license GPLv2 under which all framework components are freely shared with the open source community.
  • a closed source license that waives the user's obligation to publish their code.

Can I contribute to the NorthStateFramework?

Yes! We accept pull requests from contributors. However all contributors must first sign the contributor agreement before we can accept your request.

How do I contribute to North State Framework?

Before we can accept your pull request we will need to have a signed contributor agreement on file for you.

Will my contribution be available under the GPL license?

Yes. All accepted contributions to NSF are available under both the GPL and Commercial license.

Is there a difference between the Commercial and GPL licensed code?

No. The two are identical, with the exception of the license.

Where do I send the agreement to?
