From @lynnewu
copied from NuGet/NuGetGallery#2516

I've installed NuGet (Windows 7, VS 2013) and it seems to install correctly, but when I open the Package Manager Console and enter a command, nothing happens.

The cursor moves down to the next (empty) line, and if I keep pressing it moves to the next line, but nothing ever happens.

@lynnewu sorry we didn't find this so far (being in the whole repo and all).

Is this still an issue? What version of NuGet are you using?

I'm also having this issue, NuGet 2.8.60732.765, Visual Studio 2013 12.0.40629.00 Update 5. I've actually had this problem for quite a while, and I used to be able to work around it by pressing Shift + Enter, but lately that no longer works either. I've tried disabling extensions I use which mess with keyboard input such as Emacs emulation and ReSharper to no avail.

@functionreturnfunction we are spending most of our efforts right now on improving NuGet 3.3 for visual studio 2015. Is this a version you can move to?

I am having the same issue with version 3.3.0 and VS 2015. Shift + Enter worked though.

Tried this with NuGet 2.9.0-rc and 2.8.60732.765 (https://dist.nuget.org/index.html) and Visual Studio 2013 Update 5 on a Windows 10 machine. No repro so far.

Does this issue still persist for you guys? Does this only happen with specific projects? What OS are you guys using? Would like more details of the environment and the project in which this repros.

This has started happening for me as well. Pressing enter seems to have no effect (Shift + Enter does work though). I am running Visual Studio Enterprise 2017 Version 15.2 (26430.14).

Apologies for missing the updates to this. After a fresh installation of Windows 10 (Creators Update) and VS 2017 Enterprise I can no longer reproduce this problem. thanks for checking

I had the same issue on VS Pro 2017 v15.8.1. Mine was worse because the editor won't even accept the enter key. I never noticed it because I use VIM extension.

Solved it by resetting the keyboard in options.
