This repository was created to gather all information about the Tank 03 Mini PC sold by Acemagic and Chatreey.
The physical size is 17x17x17 cm (WxLxH)
This Mini PC comes in 2 CPU flavours, the Intel i7 12700H and the i9 12900H both sporting 14 cores / 20 threads (6 Performance + 8 Efficient cores) at 45W TDP.
Graphic's card wise, all models come with Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics thanks to the Intel CPU and a second notebook graphic card from Nvidia, in 3 different models: RTX3050 (?) / RTX3070 (115W - Code Name: GA 104) / RTX3080 (?)
Several VRAM sizes where offered, but now seems only the 16GB versions are sold.
It has 2x M2 2280 for Nvme or SSD + 1x M2 2230 (used by the Wifi Card).

The cube has 8 screws hidden under the triangle pads on each of it's corner.
Simply remove the pads and unscrew.
The top lid has the wifi/BT antennas attached to it, so be careful when pulling it!.
Unscrew all 4 standoffs, and remove the metal bracket that covers the GPU cooler. The side walls of the cube will be released, giving access to the interior.

If you are like me and scr€wed the bios into a unbootable state, you will find out there is no bios reset button or power up sequence that erases it back to default.
But there is a way to reset it :) !
- Please remember first boots take a long time (in one case it tooks 3 minutes!), do not power off the device for at least 5 minutes. *
BIOS RESET PROCEDURE:
- Power off device, remove mains plug.
- Open device top lid and unscrew the standoff to remove the bracked that holds the side walls.
- Disconnect the built in clock battery using a screw driver
- Insert mains plug, power device on, and wait (really wait a few minutes)
- Bios should be back to default.
- Power off device again, remove mains plug
- Reconnect the battery plug into position
- Close lid and repeat step 4 (with faster boot now)

Drivers size is too big for Github, please retrieve them from MEGA (Size: 820Mb)
This device uses Intel/Realtek standard drivers, the only exception is the Nvidia Driver, that is a patched version of the standard notebook driver to recognize the graphic card, because it has 16Gb of VRam.
After inspection of the patched drivers I realized the video cards where added via new file called nvqyltc.inf that is inside the Display.Driver directory, and the DisplayDriver.nvi file was edited to include this new inf, also quite a few inf files where removed by the manufacturer.
I managed to replicate this procedure using the latest (at this time) 546.65 drivers and NVIDIA-Patcher to create a signed nv_display.cat. But the installer fails when updating the driver. I got stuck at this point, because i don't know how to get some kind of debug info from the Nvidia installer, on why it failed.
The "official" (Acemagic/Chatreey) installer works by inserting into the windows registry a key (Hcert.cfg) to validate the Certificate that was used to sign the nv_disp.cat file, that is why the driver displays as "Beta". NVIDIA-Patcher uses a similar approach to insert the self-signed certificate on the trusted certificates list.
Help is needed to be able to patch drivers for this machine, so end users don't need to wait for the manufacturer to build them.
I have have tested FrankenDriver, and these drivers seem to work.
The drivers where sent to me by Chatreey, they work, but I am not able to get any sound from the Audio jack plugs!
Help is needed to retrieve all drivers from a genuine Tank 03, that is running the original Windows system that comes installed.
The procedure to retrieve the driver is simple, open a command line (powershell) in Administration mode and run the following command:
Export-WindowsDriver -Online -Destination "full path of folder where the drivers copy go
Example:
Export-WindowsDriver -Online -Destination "c:\drivers-backup\
It should export around 200mb of drivers.
Please compress the exported drivers folder, upload it somewhere and open a issue with the link.
