How do I add custom vscode style snippets? I must be missing something obvious...

Hello!

In the NVChad docs, it says to add this to my custom/init.lua file:

-- vscode format i.e json files
vim.g.vscode_snippets_path = "your snippets path"

So in my custom/init.lua file, I have:

vim.g.vscode_snippets_path = "/home/weberam2/.config/nvim/my_snippets/"

Now, in that folder, I have one file and one folder:
package.json
latex/

my package.json reads:

then, in the latex folder, I have a file named vscode-latex-snippets.json:

When I load NVChad, and a .tex file, these snippets don't show up :(

I'm losing my mind. Please help.

Is there a require command I'm supposed to put somewhere?

nvm. The above works! I just had everything in the wrong folder

However, I do believe writing it all out above is what helped me
