  1. Includes three new prognostic tracers: Silica, Diatoms and Opal, based on Karin Kvale's code. Si cycling is simplified without external sources or sinks. Opal sinks with a constant sinking speed and dissolves at a constant rate.

  2. Coccolithophores have been removed as a plankton functional type. CaCO3 production and dissolution depend on calcite saturation state (omega).

  3. All half-saturation constants (for N, P and Fe) are now variable. They increase at higher phytoplankton concentrations as in Aumont et al. (2015, doi:10.5194/gmd-8-2465-2015)

  4. Option names have been changed and consolidated. E.g. O_npzd -> O_mobi
