CoughCheckApp (from now on The Application) is a community project started by Hernán Morales Durand and developed by OpenCOVID19CoughCheck organization members, whose work is supported with help from the OpenCOVID19 Community at Just One Giant Lab (JOGL) initiative.
By using this, you agree to the following terms:
The Application is currently administered by the OpenCOVID19CoughCheck organization members as an Open Source (MIT Licensed) community project. Administrators have access to The Application operations and private data. The Application does NOT store your personal information nor does make any explicit request to store login information to any storage. If the administrators chooses to add additional administrators to The Application operations, the code repository will be updated to describe these.
Using the Open Humans API, The Application will have access to read your relevant App data (in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic) and Open Humans username.
The Application will access and and send a request to OpenHumans to store the following data: Your cough audio data, age, biological sex, weight, height, condition (“common flu (suspected)“, “common flu (confirmed via test)” , “COVID-19 (suspected)“, “COVID-19 (confirmed via test)"), number of days since condition, additional symptoms (diarrhea, asthma, other respiratory diseases (e.g. cystic fibrosis), allergies, medication, lifestyle, cardiovascular disease, blood pressure, fever, temperature, heart rate, headache, muscle ache, chills, sore throat, congestion, tightness in chest, difficulty breathing, diabetes, cancer, previous organ transplant, HIV or an impaired immune system, other long-term condition). Not all of them are mandatory to effectively send the data for Machine/Deep Learning model training.
If the original data is publicly shared in the Open Humans repository by The Application user, this data and/or a resulting report may be publicly shared by The Application. Furthermore, other information (e.g. username) associated with the public data in Open Humans may be associated with a public report shared by The Application.
The Application may contain errors, and may be discontinued at any time. This is described in more detail in the "About" page.
The Application is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particicular purpose, and noninfringement.
The Application and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Hernán Morales Durand and OpenHumans.org and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.
- You maintain ownership of your data.
- You can request access and deletion of your data.
- You are responsible for what you upload.
- This Application does NOT sell your personal data.
- This Application will NOT track you on other websites.
- This Application will NOT use tracking pixels, web beacons, browser fingerprinting, and/or device fingerprinting.
- This Application assumes no responsibility and liability for the contents of links to other websites.
- This Application will NOT collect extra data about you through promotions.
- This Application will NOT uses third-party targeted advertising
- This Application is only available to users of a certain age.
Terms may be changed any time, but will notice to the user. There will be a date of the last update of the terms.
