Create table of expected data categories for each council #35
Comments
First pass of task can be to create a static table, similar to the OD_BODS scorecard
What are the minimum categories needed for each local authority? |
First pass of transport data... I think the sub-category is not required. |
changing the milestone to be 21Q4: Improve Data as there are some deeper questions about what the right hierarchy and completeness of categories should be. Also would like to make this display dependent on our core JKAN categories and does require us to be able to map the raw data categories to JKAN categories #41 - otherwise nothing will show. |
Proposed Categories.csv |
The 2005 Scottish Navigation List for Local Authority websites might we of interest (at the top - ie parent - level) too. Along with the Scottish Service List, neither of which were ever mandated and poorly used, it is now deprecated. https://standards.esd.org.uk/csv?uri=list/scottishNavigation |
Implemented in OpenDataScotland/jkan@96bd44b |
From slack 8 Nov:
Just an idea but could the GitHub have a table listing all 32 local authorities as rows, and then columns for an expected minimum set of open data sets, eg School Catchment, Library locations, Recycling center locations, Planning Applications, etc A tick can be placed where the row/column intersect that links to the data location url if it's available. Would be an easy way to see at a glance which local authorities provide which information and also show what is missing.
