Network Error - Invalid arguments #2618
Comments
@lfiebach ? |
Why is this marked as invalid? |
@grinsekatze003 can you please provide a "BAD" password with your special chars to me ? |
Sure, e.g. this WPA2 key gives the error shown above: arT_[R\A8^%p$2%ZlrMfi!kP-lP2< |
I confirm that the above passphrase works here without problems. EDIT: I don't say that it works for everyone including OP. IMO wifi management in OE is not perfect. sometimes I get dbus timeouts. I'd assume it depends on the wifi adatper / router. @lfiebach worth to test when you can |
@lfiebach needs logs
post the url ^^ |
@stefansaraev I'm affected by about the same problem as grinsekatze003, keep getting "invalid argument", although my password contains only upper and lower case letters and numbers and no spaces (length: 50 characters). I'm using the opportunity to post the url that the "cat /storage..." command provided me with: |
I too have a problem with special characters in 3.2.4. My findings so far are these:
So somehow, somewhere between entering the password and connman receiving it, appears to be the bug. Sorry, I can't provide logfiles at the moment. |
FWIW, I got it to work just with with the 4.0 beta2 build. Long passphrase with many special characters. I had to enter the passphrase twice, but maybe I mistyped it the first time (got the "Invalid arguments" message). |
closing, please open a new report if this problem still exist |
tinc: rework (backport of OpenELEC#2613)
Since the upgrade to 3.2 I can not connect to my wifi network. The error I see is "Network Error - Invalid arguments". This is concerning to special chars (not alphanumeric ones) in my wifi password. With version 3.0.6 everything was working correctly. Could you fix this bug? More information here: http://openelec.tv/forum/88-wlan/67122-network-error-invalid-arguments
