microSD Slot Location

Early N4 & N4 Pro models had an externally accessible microSD slot (shown below)

  • This slot is used for Klipper MCU firmware updates. It can't be used for .gcode file transfers

Later N4, N4 Pro & Plus/Max still have the slot although It's not readily accessible

Common Steps for All Models

  • Remove the front 4 stainless bolts with a 3mm Hex key
  • Remove all the silver screws securing the mainboard access panel underneath the printer (if not already removed)

  • Disconnect the panel-mounted cooling fan, either from the mainboard or from the connector on the fan's wire.

  • Continue the guide in the relevant sections below

Neptune 4 & Neptune 4 Pro (Only)

  • Remove all 4 screws that secure the mainboard
  • Remove any cable management screws restricting the movement of the mainboard
  • Lift the mainboard slightly to reveal the last two screws
  • Please make a note of the connection locations if you choose to disconnect any cables.

You now have two options:

  1. Cut a slot in your front panel using the dimensions provided at the top of this page.
