Steps to reproduce

  1. Add minor water channel white border by enable borders in Line settings menu
  2. Add example 0.10 mm to the Border width
  3. Select color
  4. Add border shift if needed
  5. the Border is dashed is already not selected/disabled by default

Actual behavior

In the dashed line dash place the border line is still dashed

Expected behavior

I want to make not dashed border line for better visualization example over marsh. The border line can't be dashed as assumed (the Border is dashed is not selected).

@symbian9 664 is totally unrelated. Stop polluting clear issues, or you will be blocked.

In the current implementation, marking "Line is dashed" means that these dash settings apply to all parts of the line, including border. "Border is dashed" is meant for symbols where the main line is not dashed. Your desired symbol can be implemented only as a combined symbol at the moment. The ISSOM railway symbol (515.1) works like this.

I do have some ideas for generalizing complex line configurations, but it is not going be done soon.
