This compound is currently being synthesised as per issue 103

@alintheopen, can you tag this with the new tag? I don't think I've got the authority over tags. Ta!

Also, the "close and comment" and "comment" buttons are right next to each other.

Really? That's odd. Must fix.

To complete this synthesis it would be helpful to get a sample of the following molecule. If it cannot arrive in the UK by March 27th, for whatever reason, I will make it instead. @alintheopen ?

meta-bpinsulfonamide

Hi @PatrickThomson - to clarify, is this molecule not being pursued, based on what you say in #161 ? If so, should we close this issue? This molecule would ideally be put into the Series 3 wiki along with a link to this Issue to maintain the connection.

I'm doing both of them - methyl on the thiophene as per here, and methyl on the benzenesulfonamide as per #161

I've sent got 3-bromobenzenesulfonamide to make the shown precursor if necessary.

Hi Patrick, If you've got the precursor then yes I'd go ahead with the synthesis as its a quick overnight reaction and we haven't got very much material left so I'd have to make it and then send it.

I've got all the precursors here, that's good to know, cheers @alintheopen !

Closing this to focus on the other of the two "twisted methyl" compounds, #161

OK - just to note that we ought to try to be mindful of orphaning links/work when we close issues. I think this is not a problem here since you referred to 161 in the above, which keeps it alive. I installed a note to this Issue/compound on the Series 3 wiki so that when that page is spruced, we can maintain a note that says this compound is a decent one to pursue, and was looked at, but that it has not been pursued actively here.
