Still no VR changes, scroll down for the last VR release (0.7.1).

HS2Graphics (and yes, this doesn't require VR to work)

  • Fixed compatibility with Straight2Maker plugin
  • Fixed issue with Graphics window possibly opening off screen if you were jumping between resolutions or from full screen to windowed.
  • Changed the version # to 0.3.4 so folks can tell it apart from the non-forked version.

HS2Graphics:

  • Added Hooh smartphones to the supported SSS list (note up to 5 sec delay on spawning a phone to get the SSS support to kick in).
  • Lowered mirror (but not phone/monplane) quality settings - specifically dither and postprocess iterations off - to make mirrors a little less of a GPU melter.

  • Fix: Use actual FOV for camera FOV correction instead of assuming Index fov of 109

  • SSS Mirror Support - Mirrors work with SSS now. Supports items using Illusion MirrorReflection, Hoohs NiceMirrorReflection and the MonPlane plugin (ok not a mirror, but sorta, right?)

HS2VR Changelist

  • POVTool - Pressing trigger when not POV enabled will enable POV first, then switch to changing characters as normal
  • POVTool - Long pressing trigger to engage/disengage lock will rumble when the timer is hit and you can release
  • Cam light reparented to VR head
  • Option (default true) to suppress shadows on cam light
  • Option (default false) to swap cam to spot light

HS2Graphics Changelist

  • Changed GUI window id off of 0. Will no longer conflict with VNGE GUI window, both can be open at the same time now
  • New studio toolbar toggle button to open/close GUI (in addition to keyboard shortcut)
  • Increased max range on lights to 500
  • Added separate Title default preset that can be configured

Both Modes: Compat with 1.2.2 fixed exiting POVX mode was not working and now is.
Both Modes: Disabled mouse look (redundant in VR)
Both Modes: Lock mode - Suggestion by nana, though I reversed the suggested implementation, when in POVX pressing L (default - rebind in VRSettings.xml) will lock the head in place. Press again to release. This mitigates some of the shaky cam syndrome with certain animations.
Standing Mode: POVX Control Tool (the eyeball icon thing). When this tool is equipped on a controller:

  • A or Grip Button to engage/disengage POVX mode
  • Trigger to switch characters
  • Long press trigger +1.5secs to engage/disengage lock mode
  • Press touchpad to switch focus targets

** Other Changes **

Standing Mode: Gimbal Tool - Equip tool to controller, press Grip or A and rotate controller to rotate view. Allows full 3d rotation.
Both Modes: Fixed eye look in H Scenes not switching from look at me to animation look (when pressing 1) correctly
Both Modes: Studio - Fixed Illusion spamming per frame FOV changes which were rejecting by Unity creating log spam which, while harmless, would reduce frame rate
Both Modes: HScene FOV adjustment. Applied the FOV adjustment logic to HScene camera positions. If you felt like before the camera would position you across the room, well, you were across the room (difference of 23 -> 109 fov is no joke). Switching positions will now put you closer to the action by default.

Seated Mode: Fixed the camera positioning feedback loop. Moving your head in seated will no longer slightly shift the camera position and the occasional shudder related to this is also fixed.
Both Modes: Eye/Neck tracking is improved, targets head positioning more precisely.
Both Modes: Supports (soft dependency) Animals POVX v1.2.1

Seated Mode Functionality (also new default mode). Use Ctrl+C, Ctrl+C to switch modes.
Major camera functionality overhaul.
Maker now functional.

Note, attached GlobalGameManagers are for HS2 DX V1.2.3 ONLY. Backup globalgamemanagers before overwriting.

HS2Graphics here is optional but recommended. Includes Hanmen SSS support. Adds VR support (including for SSS), new preset system to allow for main game and VR (official & unofficial) functionality with SSS.
