Hello Rails React

This is an exercise will have you connect previous knowledge with new knowledge as you get a chance to use the react-rails gem. This gem allows you to build React components as a part of your Rails JavaScript and serve it in a component, react_component, to be used in a regular ERB file.

To get a local copy up and running follow these simple example steps.

Prerequisites

  • Ruby
  • Rails
  • Postgresql
  • React
  • Redux

Setup

  • Clone the Repository git clone https://github.com/OybekKayumov/hello-rails-react.git

  • Go to the project directory cd hello-rails-react

  • Run bundle install

  • Run rails db:create

  • Run rails db:migrate

Install

  • Run npm install --save-dev stylelint@13.x stylelint-scss@3.x stylelint-config-standard@21.x stylelint-csstree-validator@1.x
  • Run gem install --no-document rubocop -v '>= 1.0, < 2.0'

Usage

  • Run rails s to run the app

  • Run ./bin/webpack-dev-server in a separate terminal
