This one is more personal style but IMHO kunststoff always looks worse than the system style
In addition there explicit code to add kunststoff in a variety of places complicating some parts of the code base.
When conor finishes the Gui3 rewrite this won't matter anyways so simplify life until then and reduce the amount of compat testing to do.
