(Also see notes in PHI-base/curation#104)

Create a new section for 'Information not to curate' which could include

  1. single species controls (see PMID: 33203871 Two nuclear effectors of the rice blast fungus modulate host immunity via transcriptional reprogramming curation#104). NOTE from Jan 2023 KHK has requested chemistry curations are the exception to this rule (see Notes on curating Chemistry papers curation#115)
  2. complementation expts (see PMID: 33203871 Two nuclear effectors of the rice blast fungus modulate host immunity via transcriptional reprogramming curation#104)
  3. It is NOT possible to curate 'Transgenic host plant expressing pathogen effector and then inoculated with a different WT pathogen.' (see PMID: 33203871 Two nuclear effectors of the rice blast fungus modulate host immunity via transcriptional reprogramming curation#104)
  4. Interspecies complementation expts (example in PMID: 25888589 A Secreted Effector Protein of Ustilago maydis Guides Maize Leaf Cells to Form Tumors curation#103)
  5. Protein binding affinity/dissociation assays. (Eg with 3 proteins in Fig 3a,b PMID: 35468894 A fungal extracellular effector inactivates plant polygalacturonase-inhibiting protein curation#106)
