this is just a proposal to simplify installation, it will require testing on more platforms

magma added in #27, about cuda, I had success installing it with conda instead of pip. I think the easiest would be to add cuda to environment.yaml by default, then specify to the user to remove it if that doesn't work

This sounds like a good idea. I think I've addressed this in 6577972.
