+To use the :term:`Particl Marketplace`, you will need to obtain PART coins. They can be purchased using various different cryptocurrency exchanges and online services.

+Cryptocurrency Exchanges
+------------------------
+
+The PART coin is a cryptocurrency and can be obtained from various cryptocurrency exchanges. In most cases, you will need to own Bitcoin as a pre-requisite and trade it for PART.

+In-App Swap Engine
+------------------
+
+The PART coin can also be obtained directly from within the :term:`Particl Desktop` client using the in-app swap engine. This lets you get PART without having to register on any third-party exchange and without leaving the client. It is the most user-friendly method.

+	#. Open :term:`Particl Desktop`.
+	#. Open :guilabel:`Swap` module in the dapps menu at the very left and click on :guilabel:`Start New Exchange` afterwards in the main content area. 
+	#. Set the number of PART coins you want to obtain and select the currency you want to swap-in for PART coins. Then click on the :guilabel:`Next` button.
+	#. Review the quote offered by the exchange. Click on the :guilabel:`Next` button to confirm.
+	#. Send your coins to the address provided and wait for the transaction to be completed. This can take several minutes depending on the exchange and the currency you trade for.

+	#. Open :guilabel:`Swap` -> :guilabel:`BOT MANAGEMENT`.
+	#. Choose an exchange and enable its bot by expanding its tile and then clicking on the :guilabel:`Enable bot` button.

+Fiat Gateways
+-------------
+
+The PART coin can be purchased directly using "fiat gateways" as well. Contrary to most regular cryptocurrency exchanges, you won't need to own Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency as a pre-requisite. You'll be able to buy PART directly using national currencies such as the US Dollar or the Euro.
