The Peershares template is intended to be modified to fit the specific needs of the business, organization, or person setting up the offering. One area that isn't straight-forward to change involves references to "Peershares" and "shares".

It would be very nice if user-visible strings (in both the GUI and daemon applications) could be managed by a single parameter located in the code.

I think the first step would be to identify where the strings are used, and then figure out if it's reasonable to parameterize them. I expect that there will be a couple of variations that we need to consider (single unit, multiple units, case-sensitivity, etc.).
