Imagine a world where locating a person or place is as simple as transferring money via UPI. Sthaan is a virtual address platform that makes this possible. It's a digital, human-centric way of answering two fundamental questions: “Where are you?” and “How can I reach you?” with the help of a handle similar to a UPI Handle but to answer "Where" and "How"? For example: sita@paytm/home answers "Where is Sita's home?" and "How to reach her home?"
India loses $10-14 billion annually due to unstructured addresses, significantly impacting last-mile delivery [Source].

- Inefficiencies in Logistics: Unstructured and incomplete addresses create significant inefficiencies in logistics, e-commerce, and essential services.
- High Costs: The lack of standardized addresses leads to higher costs for businesses, with billions lost annually.
- Data Privacy Issues: Users have limited control over how their sensitive address data is shared and used.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us shape the future of addressing. Here are some key areas where you can contribute:
- Incentive Design: Help us create effective incentives for the various parties involved in the protocol. Your role will be to answer, "Why should different parties solve this problem?" and "What's in it for them?"
- UX Research: Conduct user studies to understand different user personas and explore the problem more deeply. Your insights will help us refine the user experience.
- Policy Development: Ensure we are on the right track from a policy perspective by identifying potential issues and areas for improvement.
