Mention "trim" as a common name for removing space

it if they are coming from another language where this is commonly
called "trim".

I would expect the attribution to be for the example, not the title, but hopefully the folks maintaining the FAQ will take care of those details.

I don’t think I wrote the title. Just the answer. If someone substantially changes the answer so it’s mostly not what I wrote, then attribute it to them instead of me. Note, however, the changing the title will break any direct links to the question.
