概要

  • 度重なる翻訳作業や公式 merge tool の適用などにより中身がゴチャついた哀れな LangPack を、最新テンプレート（公式の reaper*.ReaperLangPack ファイル）に適応した行対行の一致状態へ「編集用最適化」するツール。
  • 最適化の際、テンプレート側で既に失われている翻訳行は missing ファイルへと隔離される。
  • テンプレートも、5CA1E00000000000= のサイズ調整行を追加した行対行状態の新規ファイルとして出力される。比較翻訳作業に活用しよう。

使う理由

  • 行対行の状態になることで、訳すべき行の選択やテンプレートとの比較が簡単・効率的になる。
    例: Notepad++ の分割表示機能で、2 つのファイルを同時に開いて 縦スクロールを同期 して閲覧。

    Line to Line

インストール/アンインストール

インストーラーは無い。単に直接実行すれば使える。
アンインストールも、単にフォルダごと削除すれば良い。

必要なもの

以下は全て UTF-8 形式、かつ ReaPerLang と同じフォルダに置かれている必要がある。

  • LangPack ファイル
  • 最新のテンプレートファイル
  • 古いテンプレートファイル (「お帰りなさいモード」のみ)

得られるもの

全て UTF-8。

  • 最適化された LangPack ファイル
  • missing テキストファイル
  • 行対行に調整されたテンプレートファイル

モード

「初めましてモード（First-time mode）」と「お帰りなさいモード（Repeater mode）」がある。

「初めましてモード」

  • このツールを初めて使う人用。単純に上記のような最適化を行う。
  • ただし、元々 ;^ で始まっていたオプション翻訳行は全て失われる。
  • 必要なのは LangPack ファイルと、それの適応先にしたい最新のテンプレートファイル。
  • 出力ファイル名の頭に _0_ が追加される。

「お帰りなさいモード」

  • 過去にこのツールで適応させた LangPack を、更に最新の状態へアップデートしたい人用。
  • 適応後もオプション翻訳行が保持される。
  • 使用に際して、LangPack ファイルと最新のテンプレートファイルだけでなく、かつてこのツールの使用時に最新版として利用した古いテンプレートファイル (ここからダウンロードしたままのもの) も必要になる。
  • 出力ファイル名の頭に _1_ が追加される。

missing ファイル用オプション

  • 失われた翻訳行の無いセクションを残すか消すか選べる。
    "No" (残さない、つまり消す) を推奨。

諸注意

  • 出力ファイルは入力ファイルと違う名前で作成されるが、その際同名の既存ファイルは上書きされる。
  • Windows 日本語環境以外での動作はチェックしてない。
    コマンドラインが化ける場合、my $enc_os = 'cp932'; を他のエンコードにすれば良いかも。
  • 文書冒頭の概要部も移植され、その際最新テンプレートの概要部の行数も自動的に揃えられる。
  • テンプレート側のファイル命名則が微妙に一致しない場合（v501 以前がそう）、事前に手修正よろしく。
  • ;/ で始まるテンプレート側の行は翻訳済み行と同様に移植されるので、コメントアウトに利用可能。
  • このソフトは翻訳作業をやりやすくするためのものであって、公式 merge tool みたいに LangPack へ要素を追加するようなものではない。むしろ削る。
  • /demo フォルダに、簡単なサンプルと私の実用履歴が収められている。このソフトの動作を理解する参考になることを祈る。

Overview

  • A LangPack tends to be a mess by repeated works and use of the official merge tool.
    This tool updates it as a line-to-line one which fits to the latest REAPER template (official reaper*.ReaperLangPack) file.
  • On optimization, lost translations in the template will be moved to a missing file.
  • The latest template will be also output as a new line-to-line file with 5CA1E00000000000= scaling lines.
    Make use of it for your comparative translation.

Why ReaPerLang?

  • You will get a new "work-optimized" Langpack file which is line-to-line to compare with the template easily and select lines to translate efficiently.
    (i.e. Open files in Notepad++ by multiple view and enable Synchronise Vertical Scrolling)

Install/Uninstall

No installers.
Just execute directly or delete its folder.

Requirement

The following must be UTF-8 and placed in the same path as ReaPerLang.

  • LangPack file
  • The latest template file
  • Older template file ("repeater mode" only)

Outputs

All are UTF-8.

  • An optimized LangPack file
  • A missing file
  • The latest and optimized template file

Modes

"First-time mode" and "repeater mode" are available.

"First-time mode"

  • For those who use this tool for the first time.
    This tool simply executes the conversion as above.
  • Note that all optional translations which originally begins with ;^ will be discarded.
  • You need a LangPack file and the newest template file to adapt to.
  • Each name of output files will begin with _0_.

"Repeater mode"

  • For those who want to update a LangPack file which had been adapted by this tool ever and have been translated manually further.
  • Optional translations will be preserved even after processing.
  • To use this mode, you need not only an old LangPack and the newest template, but also an old template file (just as downloaded here) used on previous conversion.
  • Each name of output files will begin with _1_.

Opsion for missing file

  • You can select whether to keep or remove sections that have no obsolete entries.
    "No" (don't keep, that is, remove) is recommended.

Tips

  • Output files will have different names from inputs, but any existing files with the same names as outputs will be overwritten.
  • I don't check behavior on non-Windows OS or non-Japanese environment.
    If the command line gets some garblings, editing my $enc_os = 'cp932'; to utf8 could help.
  • The description area on the top of your file will also be transferred and one in the output template will be forced to have as many lines as it.
  • If template naming differs a bit (like v501 or before), fix manually in advance.
  • Lines beggining with ;/ in LangPack will also be transferred just like translated ones, so you can use them as some commentouts.
  • ReaPerLang is a software to make translation work easier, not to add something to a LangPack like the official merge tool (it trims rather).
  • The /demo folder contains simple examples and my actual use cases. I hope they help you to understand this software.
