After rescuing the spanish sailors and coming back to the fort after the scene at the ship, you character does not properly reappear at the fort #110
Comments
Tried a second time and now none of the characters spawned at all and I'm still stuck at the top, Weird, will provide the save where this happened as well along with new screenshot: |
If you want a save from beforehand, here you go: just go through the scripted dialog and cutscenes and after a couple minutes, you will run into the scenario, this happens every time and has effectively locked out the quest: |
So, it turns out this does not happen EVERY time, just a majority of the time, which is still an issue and still needs to be resolved, so this issue will remain open until we find a root cause. At least I did manage to eventually get through (after 4 tries) and was able to continue. |
Also noticed during loyalty that your character sometimes doesn't properly appear back at the port in Bridgetown, as always, I will provide a screenshot and save. This seems to happen at random and is nearly as bad as the crashing, not sure what is causing some of the auto teleports to do this in certain areas. |
I am now stuck at this part on the loyalty quest, maybe if I try again more later it will work, but I cannot progress for now, seems to be an issue with the way it teleports the player in certain instances |
The issue is fixed prior to the loyalty quest, however, the loyalty quest is still giving issues, here is an alpha 13 save, but this will need to be reopened. Still having the Bridgetown issue -=Hornblower Test=- Barbados. Bridgetown port January 1st, 1799.zip |
If you need a save from right before this happens so you can see what happens as it happens, use this one, literally just walk forward and go into the apothecary and keep cycling through dialog options, you'll teleport to the ship, and then it'll try to teleport you to bridgeport dock where the glitch will happen, this is an alpha 13 save: -=Hornblower Test=- Barbados. Bridgetown January 1st, 1799 1.zip Edit: Be careful not to cycle through the text too quickly in the apothecary or it will allow you to go outside, if this happens, go back in the apothecary and the rest of the cutscene should play like normal |
The workaround for this seems to be that I can fast travel even in this state though and I can fast travel to the ship and fix this so I can go to port and talk to quelp, though this issue needs to be properly resolved as some may not fully know that |
After rescuing the spanish sailors from the storm then going to the british ship in the previous scene when you come back to the fort, your character does not properly spawn in resulting in a weird thing where it looks like you are overlooking the fort when you are supposed to spawn on the ground, yet your character doesn't spawn in either. Will provide save and screenshot. This makes the hornblower quest impossible to complete, please correct as soon as possible.
