Revsion of TO top level term

Currently, the top level term is "plant trait ontology" which makes all the descendant terms is_a plant trait ontology
I propose the following revision of the name and definition:
new name: plant trait:
current def'n: It is a controlled vocabulary to describe each trait as a distinguishable feature, characteristic, quality or phenotypic feature of a developing or mature plant.

revised definition: A measurable or observable dependent continuant of a plant anatomical entity (PO:0000003) or plant structure development stage (PO:0009012).

related synonyms: plant quality, plant phenotype, plant characteristic

After further consideration, I propose the following revised def'n:

plant trait: A measurable or observable characteristic of a plant anatomical entity (PO:0000003) or plant structure development stage (PO:0009012).

Although a plant trait is a dependent continuant, it is probably better to use "characteristic' in the def'n.

Propose revised def'n to emcompass the range of traits described by the TO:

plant trait:
proposed def'n: A measurable or observable characteristic of a plant anatomical entity (PO:0000003), plant structure development stage (PO:0009012), plant cellular component, biological process or molecular function.

Comment: This includes physiological, molecular and biochemical traits as well.

cellular component (GO:0005575), biological process (GO:0008150), molecular function (GO:0003674)

I propose this revised definition which better encompasses the scope of the TO by referencing the GO classes.

revised def'n: A measurable or observable characteristic of a cellular component (GO:0005575), biological process (GO:0008150) or molecular function (GO:0003674) that is part of, or has participant a plant anatomical entity (PO:0000003) and or a plant structure development stage (PO:0009012).

Comment: This includes physiological, molecular and biochemical traits as well.
