I am trying to find an address with 8 characters but it hasnt been found yet. It's already over the estimated time at 212% and counting. We are able to put in that many characters right?

You should to be able to. I'd guess you're just getting unlucky and it's taking longer than expected.

8 characters should work but can really take a while.

I fell back to CPU because CPU was too loud and I guess cooling because it slowed down after a few minutes, and went with CPU for 2 months or so, gave me some time to actually prepare the node to actually do something like bootstrapping and all while the vanity went
