[Bug]: MacOS Beta 13.2 offset window display in some Mac Catalyst apps #64
Comments
Duplicate of PlayCover/PlayCover#579. |
Only ways to solve this is to downgrade to macOS 13.1, or wait for Apple to fix it in a future 13.2 beta update. |
only a downgrade hint: |
Fixed in the latest version of the beta |
False alarm, it looks like the issue is still present in some apps including Genshin Impact, but it seems to have been fixed for other Mac Catalyst apps available through the App Store. macOS 13.2 beta 2 (22D5038i) |
Not to be confused with the behavior described in https://github.com/PlayCover/PlayBook/blob/bf29a533f1f632d58c0993ac459118418f624af5/PlayBook/src/settings/graphics.md?plain=1#L23 |
Hi, @Depal1 . So which is the reason causing offset, MacOS or PlayCover? Should I try a previous version of PlayCover? |
macOS is the cause of the issue, but it might be possible to get around it from PlayTool’s side. I believe older versions of PlayCover would have the same issue. Has anyone by any chance tried to replicate this with SIP disabled in 13.2 beta 2 (22D5038i)? Legitimately signed apps aren’t experiencing this issue. |
Do you mean Apple may add a protection mechanism in the last system security update? Oh no. |
I tried all previous versions but it didn't work,so I think it's a macOS‘ problem ,I updated the latest beta but it didn't work either |
I found the solution: go to application settings -> graphics -> set custom resolution -> set the same value for width and height. |
It works! But it looks a little strange, but at least you can see the whole content! thanks |
MacOS 13.2 RC (22D49) was released today. Has anyone tested it? |
I am currently downloading the update and will test it soon. |
This bug should be fixed in #66. |
This problem has not been fixed in playcover2.0.3 |
It is fixed in the nightly build. |
If you clone the latest source from GitHub and build it, you’ll see it
fixed. I believe the fix will be out with the next release.
