Suggestions #16

Yeah, sure! I was thinking of changing the UI to look more like the new Pixel weather app. I'll include these changes in the next version. If you have any other suggestions, feel free to open an issue. Thanks for the feedback! |
Well , I was thinking of replacing the radar with the open weather map one. It's not useful for viewing the past precipitation. |
Yeah, I'm looking for a better radar that can provide future forecasts. Are you talking about the OpenWeatherMap radar from |
Yes , this one, I think it is quite reliable , and if you can , maybe you could keep them both |
Actually , after further examination, open weather map has like the same algorithms like rain viewer for global precipitation. You can only see in the past |
But still, I think it has more features than the standard rain viewer, but best If you can keep them both |
"Yeah, but the OpenWeather API doesn't provide any timestamps, so it's just a fixed-time radar image |
So you cannot see the future rain? |
Right, it only provides the latest radar image |
Well, i dont know what to say, maybe open meteo has one? |
I'll figure something out, but no, Open-Meteo doesn't provide any radar data |
I'll move the clothes container up, and widgets are next on my list to work on. So, yeah |
and what do you mean by |
Have you added all? |
18 |
What? |
Currently, the app has a total of 18 frog images |
Ahh, sorry for the misunderstanding |
But how many are there in total because gemini told me there is an unknown number |
There are more than 25 |
I understand, when is the update coming😃 |
Maybe tomorrow |
Perfect |
Just got the update , it looks very nice |
Adding other weather providers doesn't add much value since the app already has OpenWeather, Open-Meteo, and Visual Crossing. Adding AccuWeather or WeatherAPI.com wouldn't provide significantly new data, as the app already covers most of it. |
You added open meteo? Thats great , but I was saying to add them because sometimes they arent very accurate |
@PranshulGG you should've kept WeatherMaster Do a hotfix or something |
Delete the current one; it was an issue because the text was cut off. |
Damn it. Ok |
Yeah, it’s just a one-time thing. If I get more feedback about changing it back, then I’ll consider doing it. |
Hey , Pranshul, have you added all the froggy pictures and the rounded ui for the next update? |
Yeah, the next update will also have a Google AI-like day summary. |
Perfect , If you would like to add it to the 14 day forecast like I have shown you some time ago |
Hm, yeah, I also have to change the widgets on the forecast page, just like the ones on the home page. Also, I was wondering, how do the animations look? There’s none for clear skies during the day because I’m not sure what to make for that. |
The animations are extremely good. For the clear sky you could just make a sun shining with rays |
Yeah, that’s the issue—I can’t replicate it. I tried, but the canvas just doesn’t draw it that way. Maybe I’ll have to try something else, like birds flying or a wind animation with leaves. |
Yeah, better |
Yeah, I can consider doing that, but I think putting the day length in the insights container would be better as well. |
Yeah, better this way. One question, what size does the app have with all the froggy images? |
There are too many; it’s about 56MB, but I haven’t checked the total package size. It’ll probably be more. I’m not going to add all of them—just three for each condition. I don't wanna make the app slow. |
Yeah, it's better this way, but you made me curios, what features does the debug have that the release doesn't? |
It doesn’t have anything extra. What I do is maintain two different codebases: one for debugging, where I make changes, and then I apply those changes to the release version, which is more organized and optimized. So yeah, they’re the same in terms of functionality. |
So, when is the update coming? |
I haven’t started yet. My exams are coming up, so it’s probably going to take some time. |
Oh, good luck with them |
Be a little patient. He's working on them |
@ak47m91 Just wanted to show the weather report. It now calculates both hourly and full-day data to generate this. What do you think? The only problem is that it’s too long; maybe I can make it scrollable. |
Looks good, yeah, you can make it scrollable. And maybe you could add one for the 14 day forecast that should calculate based on the details and the full day forecast |
Nice, looks really good, what abt the froggy images, you could add 5 for every condition, it shouldn't take more than 50 mb |
There are 23 conditions, and if we make 5 for each, it would be 115 images. |
Is it good or bad |
It’s pretty bad—each image is at least 1-2MB, so the total app size would be around 123MB to 127MB. |
Hello again, sorry to be a burden , but I have some suggestions
First, I suggest moving the moderate risk and fair to the right because there is dead space there and it helps saving space
Then you could use some of the shapes of the new Google Weather app for the visibility, humidity, wind and pressure
That's it , hope you understand my design choices!😀
