The markdown language definition does not support the following features:

• Bold italic text is not supported. E.g. ***bold italic***, ___also bold italic___. (Markdown: Added support for nested bold and italic tokens #1897)
• Strikethrough. E.g. ~~Scratch this.~~ (Markdown: Added strike support #1563)
• Nested lists. E.g. (Note the 4 spaces) (Markdown: Nested lists #2228)

• Tables. (Markdown: Added tables #1848)
• Backtick code blocks. (Markdown: Added support for code blocks #1562)
• Syntax highlighting of backtick code blocks which specify a language known to Prism. (Markdown: Added support for code blocks #1562)

I would like to work on the first bullet on the list: "Bold italic text is not supported. E.g. bold italic, also bold italic".

May I claim this portion of the issue? Thanks!
