I'm also running into this problem intermittently (with an already added account). |
Probably an issue with Microsoft's authentication servers |
I confirm I have the same issue. It is stuck on "Working". Once in the "Working" modal, the "Cancel" button isn't working. Looking at my firewall logs, I confirm that the app is actually contacting the microsoft servers. No issues on Windows. |
I'm having the same problem but only in Prism Launcher, MultiMC lets me log in perfectly fine. |
Try using the MiniGW version instead. |
I am having the same issue with the Windows version on Windows 10. The problem goes away when using the Legacy(32bit) launcher. |
This fixed it for me, just installed over the previous install directory and didn't lose any data. What's the difference between MiniGW and MSVC then, particularly if MSVC doesn't even work why have it as an option? |
the Mingw compiled version of prism is slower and uses openssl over the more desirable Microsoft native tls libs. if installing the mingw version resolved the issure for you this is almost certainly because you updated from 5.x to a msvc compiled 6.x version without completely uninstalling the 5.x version. This leaves beings some of the mingx compiled dlls and breaks networking almost entirely. Please try uninstalling the mingw version in favor of the MSVC version and ensuring the tls folder and it's contained dlls is removed before continuing with the new install. |
I have the same problem but none of these work, I tried using MiniGW and the legacy launcher and microsoft auth servers aren't down |
./PrismLauncher |
I moved back to my previous location and now I can login. |
