Formatting disappeared #563
Comments
Hi, A new version of the visual rolled out this month. But it should not affect styling. What type of formatting had you applied? -Anders |
hi @Peter52912, In order to see your screenshots, you have to add them do Github directly - not by email. -Anders |
Hi @Peter52912, If you go to the format pane for the visual, and you can do this in a publish report:
Would appreciate if you could give me feedback on this whether it worked or not. Best regards |
Wow!
You are a lifesaver.
There was one field that was blank.
I replaced it with none and immediately all the formatting returned.
Thank you so, so much.
I am very grateful to you.
Keep up the amazing work and have a wonderful weekend when you get to it!

You don't often get email from ***@***.******@***.***>. Learn why this is important<https://aka.ms/LearnAboutSenderIdentification>
Hi, Believe I found the issue:
If you go to the format pane for the visual, and you can do this in a publish report:
1. Search for outline in the format pane
2. Scroll through and look for any blank fields
3. Replace the blanks with "none"
4. Once all empty outline-fields are replaced, it should be back to normal

Would appreciate if you could give me feedback on this whether it worked or not.
Best regards
Anders

Great to hear that @Peter52912, Hopefully this didn't cause to much trouble for you. Have a great weekend when time comes. -Anders |
Hi,
We have a well established report with formatting which has worked beautifully fine for about nine months.
Suddenly in the last week the formatting has disappeared.
We have a full version history of the Power BI file so have tried to reinstate older versions, but even they, with the same data and JSON file, no longer contain the formatting.
We are at a lost as to what may have caused this.
Can you help??
Thank you!
