My TV can switched on with the pulse-eight software, but (currently) not switched off at all.
You have an idea we could proceed also then let me know maybe.

TV: Samsung LE40A559P4F
As descriped from the TV's manuel it should be possible to switch off with Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC).
The feature automatically Switch off (with Anynet+) is set to enabled on the TV.
CEC Version of TV is: 1.3a (as displayed from the Pulse-Eight Software at tab "CEC-Tester"-> Device information)

Logging Output:

NOTICE: 9829 << putting 'TV' (0) in standby mode
TRAFFIC: 9829 << 40:36
TRAFFIC: 10059 >> 04:00:36:04
DEBUG: 10059 marking opcode 'standby' as unsupported feature for device 'TV'
DEBUG: 10059 >> TV (0) -> Playback 1 (4): feature abort ( 0)
