Currently, trying to talk to the pico during buffered execution can randomly cause it freeze and eventually crash. I believe this is due to a bug in the most reason version of the pico-sdk.

There is a PR for this issue, but it has not been merged yet.
raspberrypi/pico-sdk#918

The version of the sdk in that PR does seem to make this problem with the sweeper go away.

This is fixed for now, but will want to upgrade to Pico SDK 1.4.1 when it is released.
