This is a bugfix update to the 1.0 release series of Scatterer. To install simply extract to your KSP install.

What was changed / added since Unofficial Release 1.41?

1.) The sunflare code has seen a bugfix allowing it not to render underneath local scenery, and a null reference in the sunflare code was also corrected, potentially improving performance.,

2.) The Kerbin "Ultra" atlas shader is now handled properly code-side. This should be transparent to end users and just be a "good thing" provided they completely replace their stock scatterer folder. Please make sure to replace your Kerbin-atmo config in particular with this release, as the Spec RGB values are back to "normal" when using the Ultra shader due to a method of detecting the Atlas shader discovered by blackrack.

3.) The shaders were previously compiled on an AMD Navi card, which seemingly is producing significantly different shaders than those nvidia cards like for some reason. This release simply bundles shaders that were built on a GTX 1060 Pascal nvidia card, which seems to work well on all cards, as tested and proven in a prior hotfix. We don't quite understand why this is, we just know it works.

Remember, in order to install each release I recommend completely replacing the Scatterer folder.

This is a bugfix update to the 1.0 release series of Scatterer. To install simply extract to your KSP install.

What was changed / added since Unofficial Release 1.41?

1.) The shaders were compiled on an AMD navi card, which seemingly is producing signifigantly different shaders than those nvidia cards like for some reason. This release simply bundles shaders that were built on a GTX 1060 Pascal nvidia card. This is really odd and the cause is still being investigated, but if you were having shadow issues this "hotfix" release is worth a try.

It bears the same version number otherwise, so please specify you used the "Nvidia hotfix" if you report bugs with this release.

Remember, in order to install each release I recommend completely replacing the Scatterer folder.

What was changed / added since Unofficial Release 1.30?

1.) We integrated blackracks new shader code in 1.40, but had to pull it due to a bad visual bug with Jool in particular

2.) This release fixes that bug with Jool, which now appears as it should! Please continue to test other bodies and see if it fixes other reported bugs with clouds and similar.

Remember, in order to install each release I recommend completely replacing the Scatterer folder.

1.) Water Caustics and general underwater view has been fixed. It was pretty broken.

2.) For the sunflare we noticed it doesn't render in front of local scenery anymore, blackrack fixed that, I integrated it.

1.) This is a hotfix release that fixes a RSS mode bug where under select circumstances in RSS mode, the override nearclip plane setting was not obeyed.

1.) This is a hotfix release that fixes a RSS mode bug where main menu clip plane was set improperly, making it hard to enter or exit the game.

What was changed / added since Unofficial Release 1.1?

1.) Fixed RSS Mode, which was broken by a regression caused by a over-optimistic optimization. Now it works again, and we still have pretty much the same level of optimization for those who don't use it.

If you aren't experiencing any of the above bugs, this is a fairly minor release and I'd not worry about it.

This is a minor update to the 1.0 release of Scatterer. To install simply extract to your KSP install.

What was changed / added since Unofficial Release 1.0?

1.) Some minor performance optimizations. It is unclear whether these will make a visible difference in FPS, but they needed to be done for code cleanup reasons, anyways.

2.) An edge-case bug where covering the front of the Cupola viewing module would result in it still being transparent (a nearclip issue, essentially) has been fixed.

If you aren't experiencing any of the above bugs, this is a fairly minor release and I'd not worry about it.

It's here! We are at version 1.0 of my update to scatterer, the "unofficial release" No more betas, no more release candidates!

What does this mean?

It means that though the mod in it's stock configuration is functional and stable, blackrack still had features planned that did not make it into this release. Those will come in his final release. Hence "unofficial."

What was changed / added since RC10?

If you are not using Real Solar System / RSS, this release is identical for you to RC10, which was essentially stable. You don't even really need to download this, honestly.

If you are a RSS user, there is a new config option called "RSS Mode" that disables scatterer-based shadowing (which I advise no one use right now anyways) for extreme horizon distance support. Give it a shot on some truly massive bodies and see how far it will go, please! It is off by default, you can find it in the scatterer menu at the KSC.
