F = mg Mass of the rotating plate = 50gm=0.05Kg
Diameter of the disc = 100mm=0.1m
force = 0.05x9.81=0.491N
Torque= FD/2= 0.491x0.1= 0.0491Nm
Safety factor= 1.5
Final Torque = 1.5 x 0.0491 = 0.07365Nm
as we know ; 1 Nm = 10.1971kg - cm
Therefore,
Torque in Kg-cm= 10.1971 x 0.07365 = 0.751 Kg-cm
Now, by looking at the table we'll need a 4.2 kg-cm nema stepper motor
Sl No. | Components | Quantity | Operating voltage | Current consumed |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Stepper Motor | 3 | 12V | 3x400=1200mA |
2 | Barcode Scanner | 1 | 5V | 150mA |
3 | Arduino Mega2560 | 1 | 5-12V | 100mA |
4 | IR Sensor | 3 | 5V | 3x40=120mA |
5 | 2 Channel Relay | 3 | 5V | 3x80=240mA |
12V | 5V |
---|---|
1200mA | 610mA |
Safety factor = 1.2
12V | 5V |
---|---|
1440mA | 732mA |
We can use a 12V adapter with the current rating of 2A and a 5V adapter with the current rating of 1A .
