We should collect things we find that need to be tested for each release. They should also be tagged with what code affects it so we can use it to test PRs.

Launching with wsock32. masterserver/servers launcher/versions launcher/masterserver

  1. Install Northstar normally to a clean Titanfall 2 installation. Ensure that you are not using the launcher.dll proxy (i.e. launcher.dll.org should not exist, and launcher.dll should be the original).
  2. Attempt to launch Northstar from Titanfall2.exe -northstar and connect to the master server. Ensure the version is correct.

  1. Install Northstar normally to a clean Titanfall 2 installation. Rename the original launcher.dll to launcher.dll.org and install Northstar's launcher.dll. Delete wsock32.dll.
  2. Attempt to launch Northstar from Titanfall2.exe -northstar and connect to the master server. Ensure the version is correct.

Test client startup on {linux-wine-origin, linux-proton, windows} {with plugins {with Discord running, without Discord running}, without plugins}.
