NOTE

this application was our first version of arbiter and is no longer maintained. Please go to the following link for the latest version of Arbiter currently only supported on Android: https://github.com/ROGUE-JCTD/arbiter-android

Arbiter

Arbiter is a mobile app for geospatial data collection in both connected and disconnected environments. It supports editing geometry for point features (add/modify/delete) and attributes for point, line, and polygon features. It organizes collection into projects so you can have several different collection efforts saved on the device.

Arbiter is meant to be flexible: no particular data schema is presumed. It gets this information from the Web Feature Service (WFS). If domains for the attributes are defined on the server, Arbiter will use that to populate the drop-down menus. Updates are pushed through WFS-T (transaction). Also, for the area of interest defined for the project, Arbiter will download map tiles from a Web Mapping Service (WMS).

Supported Devices

  • Apple iPad (iOS versions 5 and 6)
  • Apple iPhone (iOS versions 5 and 6)
  • Android smart phones (operating systems 2.2, 2.3, 4.0, 4.1, and 4.2)

We've tested on iPad, iPhone, Nexus 7 tablets, and Galaxy S
