Latest version of openssl (1.1.1) on Manjaro Linux 18.1.5 is not working to pull the compatibility database down. Works upon reverting to openssl 1.0.

mentioned by liberodark at the end of #6858. not the same issue as the top of the report, and not fixed by #6934

You have to use OpenSSL 1.0 because it's what the QT version currently used by AppImages requires.
This is a duplicate at best.
